Our Team:
Sanal Kumar
Sanal Kumar an accomplished engineer with over three decades of multidisciplinary experience, including a strong foundation in the nuclear industry. He began his career at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), one of India’s premier nuclear research institutions, where he served as a Scientific Officer for six years. During this time, he was involved in the design, implementation, and commissioning of advanced instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants. His responsibilities spanned hazardous area instrumentation, and process automation, gaining extensive hands-on experience in both hardware and software aspects of nuclear control systems. This foundational work set the stage for his subsequent contributions to large-scale industrial automation projects across sectors, backed by a solid academic background in Electrical Engineering and Control & Automation.
He holds Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Calicut University (India) and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Control and Automation from NTU(Singapore). Also has a MBA from DeMontfort University.
Dominic Wu
Advisors:
Gopa Sen
Dominic Wu (PBM) is a seasoned Senior Manager from Singapore with over two decades of experience leading turnkey projects across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. He has deep expertise in mobile telecommunication systems, ELV and IT security systems, software development, and operations and maintenance of infrastructure. His portfolio includes major contributions to Singapore’s Kallang–Paya Lebar Expressway and Changi Airport GSM/3G systems, ELV projects in China and Dubai, and software applications for LTA and DSTA. Dominic holds a Master’s in Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and brings a results-driven, cross-disciplinary approach to large-scale infrastructure and technology deployments.
Gopa Sen brings more than 30 years of R&D leadership across India, Germany, and Singapore, including 15 years in nuclear-reactor technology. At India’s Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) she developed real-time reactor-control and monitoring software; built reverse-engineering tools for C and assembly code; analyzed reactor-application software; worked on validating ADA code; and implemented formal specification and verification methods to enhance reactor control-system safety. As a visiting scientist at GRS Munich, she developed Timed-Petri-Net based graphical method for modelling safety-critical reactor controls, to strengthen nuclear-system assurance.
In Singapore she led security-middleware work at NUS, then spent 22 years at A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research as technical lead, project lead, and lab head for wireless-communication software. Her teams patented an award-winning TV White-Space radio, built a cloud geolocation platform, and steered a 19-member group that helped establish Singapore’s national TVWS policy. She later directed institute-wide research capability mapping and managed 100+ grant proposals annually in AI/ML, cybersecurity, and digital-health.
Gopa holds two patents, multiple engineering awards, and experience co-founding a deep-tech start-up. Her academic background includes M.Tech. degrees in Computer Science & Engineering (IIT Bombay) and AI/ML (NUS), a B.E. in Electrical Engineering (NIT Durgapur), and a postgraduate diploma in nuclear engineering from BARC.
The GenReactor initiative is supported by advisors whose expertise spans several decades in both nuclear reactor research and operations.
